Hi,
I am a PR with REP due for renewal next September.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances, I will require to tender my resignation and return to my home country which I foresee that I won't be able to return by next September.
My concern is whether I'm able to renew my REP for another 5 years, given that ultimately I intend to continue to work in Singapore.
Thank you.

What’s the question here?
Your concern is valid. Your renewal won’t be straightforward, if at all. Why do you need to resign? Why do you need to return to your home country? How soon can you return back to Singapore and work here again?

So... you are neither "permanent" nor "resident", is that right? Why would you need PR?

Don't resign. If you're out of work for a significant period and not retired you may not get your REP renewed. If you do it may only before for 12 months.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or
http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!
