My in-laws from Indonesia are long time PRs but live in Indo most of the time. However, this year they have been spending most of their time in Singapore.
Now it’s time to renew their REP, and there is a question in the renewal form:
Permanently residing in Singapore: Y/N
What do they put? What does permanent mean?

I suspect if they select N, they'll get a 1-year REP. I'm sure, as far as the gahment is concerned, Permanent Resident means just that: permanent.

Are they staying in SG this year for making a case of REP renewal.

They did stay in Singapore most of this year, but not to make a case for REP renewal… it was more survival instincts (they are in their 80’s).
