I've applied 3 times before and rejected (last was in 2024). Decided to wait until promotion & get married and try again this year. (Rejection letter in 2024 state apply again when circumstances changes)
My profile:
Vietnamese (Kinh) Male, 30yo, Married to a Filipino 30yo F (2024 was single), no children yet
EP Holder, Salary ~98K (Basic 84K), Large Local MRO company. Wife SP Holder, ~40K ish (2024 my salary was around 80K, basic around 65K)
Graduated from NUS (bachelor, hons) in 2019, working here ever since. Duration of stay in SG ~ 11 years now.
My questions:
1. Isit better for me to apply as single applicant or to include my wife as well? We only got married this month and since she's on SP & non-chinese I feel it wouldnt add much to the application, unlike local spouse.
2. Is working for MNC more beneficial for PR app than a local blue-chip company? assuming pay/title are the same? I am thinking of making the jump for change of environment but not sure if it will negatively affect.
3. Is a letter or recommendation from my boss useful? My boss quite well known within the industry I work in and we also work with gov agencies alot (not ICA itself though). I will ask for one but idk if it helps much?
4. Is certificates (professional skill certs, training certs, language certs like IELTS or chinese language proficiency) useful?
