Hii all, If you have a maid that is sincerely good and dont need her anymore, please PM me or leave a message here. I dont want a maid from hell.
I need someone caring and hardworking to be able to look after 2 boys aged 6 and 4. Do housework and cooking. Thats all.
but I want a simple maid who can live like a family with us without any engaging in any hanky panky outside.
thanks
Always have a smile on that face!

Get yourself a robot or eunuch. Otherwise you will be getting a normal human being. And the problem with normal human beings is that when they have finished working they like to relax and socialize with friends. (Even your children need "friends" who are not part of the family.) That why you take 'em to a playground to meet their friends isn't it. Does your husband dictate to you who you can have as friends? Or vice versa? Doubtfully.........
And the local attitude perpetuates itself again..........

This was the part I liked.
That's all.
I wouldn't want to suggest anyone to work for a grown woman who can't manage to spell 'hi' correctly
Really chixchix, sometimes your posts are just too difficult to ignore, the scary thing is that you don't even seem to know it.

I agree, strange mentality. When you hire a helper you are paying them for certain work hours in your house. You don't own the person and shouldn't try to control their every move, who they socialize with etc. What they do in their off hours is their business, providing that it doesn't get you into any legal trouble (e.g. they work outside your home for extra money, which is illegal). If that did happen you would have to deal with it, but you can't take it as a default that every helper will get into trouble outside of your home.

THANKS FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL COMMENTS. IF YOU HAVE NO TRANSFER MAID AT ALL TO RECOMMEND, THEN I DONT THINK YOU NEEDED TO REPLY. ANYWAY,I DONT WISH TO GO THROUGH ANY HEADACHE WITH MAIDS.
OH YES, I HAD A MAID WHO JUST LEFT AFTER WORKING FOR ME FOR 3 YEARS AND SHE WAS WONDERFUL. LIVE MORE LIKE A FAMILY MEMBER RATHER THAN A MAID. I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR A GOOD MAID AGAIN. I DONT THINK THERE WAS ANYTHING TO CRITICISE ABOUT.
I GUESS I JUST POSTED AT THE WRONG PLACE.
Always have a smile on that face!

No, it was not where you posted. It was WHAT you posted.
You were hoist by your own petard.

I can't speak for SMS, but when I see discrimination, prejudice or injustice I think of Elie Wiesel:
The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference.
The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference.
The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference.
And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference.
and Edmund Burke:
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
Sitting back and letting it happen, only perpetuates the problem and makes the witness an accomplice. No thank you.

Wanting a maid who doesnt do the hanky panky isn't the result of racism, its the result of the system here.
If I have to forfeit my $5000 deposit in the case that my maid gets preggo, I'd probably prefer one without a boyfriend, too. I've known at least two cases of maids getting pregnant and their employers getting into huge trouble.
Furthermore, if you have kids you want a maid with a very low risk of getting into any trouble. It's hard enough to find a maid who you can trust with your kids. You don't want to have to repeat the exercise a few months later because she gets herself 'in the family way'. It's also not healthy for kids when the maid keeps changing.
I think it's horrible that maids here aren't allowed to have bfs or get pregnant, and are basically treated like second class citizens, but that's how it is. I don't have enough money to risk my $5000 trying to stand up for their rights.

So perpetuate the system? There was a time when women couldn't vote and blacks had different water fountains -- but the system changed because people called the injustice for what it was.

Perhaps with 8 posts to your credit babyplush you don't have a comprehensive reckoning of chixchix pattern of prejudice? Just a guess. Nice potty mouth though

Now I'd like some simple advice on how to convert our linen closet into a maid's room. Anyone?

I know other banks like DBS you can just log online or through bank app to change the transfer limit?
