Post by viajera » Fri, 17 Aug 2007 12:25 pm

we're an asian/european family and i was wondering whether there are others in this forum who would perhaps like to meet up? we just arrived in signapore a couple of months ago from germany. we have a five year old and live in the west, near holland village. really would love to meet new friends for playdates or chat (for son, but also for mom)

Hi Viajera,

I'm now busy settling down in our new place. Had unpacked lots of boxes which was shipped from holland. There's still 5 boxes left out of 30 to be unpacked. Also busy buying some furniture. And having hard time to find a bed where my husband who's 1.96m to fit in...
I'm not working at this moment. Trying to find out where and which school to put my little girl in.
So my time is flexible too.

5 boxes left! wow you're quick! our shipment arrived just last week, and i've been able to unpack... erm... about 5 boxes, haha!

yes! beds longer than 2 m are tricky to find! we shipped our 2x2m bedframe, only to find how difficult it was to find a suitable mattress! not impossible, but quite costly.

where do you do your furniture shopping? maybe we could meet somewhere nearby, and if time permits, üerhaps tag along for a bit of window-shopping? ;)

wahm, does that sound ok to you?

So far I've been to Cellini and LeMercier for my furniture.
In fact they are going to deliver my tv console tomorrow between 10am-2pm.
So can meet up with u guys at Tampines mall thereafter. It's very near to my place indeed.
And I have have an appointment with a dermatologist tomorrow at 5pm
at Changi Hospital too.
Oh well just enough time to do some coffee or window shopping huh?

Well let me know further details for our meeting tomorrow....

Hi all,
Sorry for this late note, but one of the ladies suggested a dip in the pool for the kids in Tampines Sports Complex, 3 mins away from Tampines Mall. So, if you want to do so with your little ones, just take along your swim wear, towel etc. See you later!

Hi Wahm,

I won't be joining you guys today as my schedule is really tight today, due to appointment at the CGH.
Well you guys have fun. Keep me informed of the next meet up.

Have a nice dip!
