If a local or an expat Asian can do the job then Europeans, Americans and Aussies may as well forget it.

I have narrow skills in the contractual disputes arena and though I have been here quite a long time every day I feel like I am hanging on by my fingernails.

i came to Singapore in 2012 strait after graduating from a master degree from France. and i was able to have a job with an Employment pass for 2 years so its not (Impossible) as everybody say but i agree its very hard.

i came to Singapore on a work holiday visa for 6 month without job lined , and have been doing part time as a mobile application developer for a Singaporean start-up. after few months the mobile app i was developing become very crucial to the survival of my start-up (at that time) and my boss applied for MOM to have me full time.

my application was rejected maybe 3 time! but my boss proved to MOM that they couldn't afford to waste time training a new employee as they needed to lunch the product urgently for its survival. that's how i got the approval from MOM.

to sum it up it also depend on your luck

The following are some good tactics to find jobs in Singapore (irrespective of your experience)

1. Create your profile on LinkedIn and start connecting to recruiters working in Singapore. They would love to connect back (trust me). I have 100+ recruiters connected to me.

2. Send a message to all the recruiters (whom you have connected) using LinkedIn Message (its free to send to send a message to a connection on linkedin)

3. Upload your resume on job portals as mentioned below which gives you all sorts of jobs, but beware you could get lot of duplicate jobs (which will leave your frustrating because there will be no response ](*,) )
STJobs.sg : http://www.stjobs.sg/
Jobscentral.com.sg: http://jobscentral.com.sg/
Monster.com.sg : http://monster.com.sg/

4. You may visit some special sites that are focused on specific niche like
Startupjobsasia: http://www.startupjobs.asia/ (you get all jobs in start-ups, but due to prevailing laws in singapore, the chances of getting hired are less)
MyTechLogy: http://www.mytechlogy.com/ (you get all IT Jobs, yes only and only IT)
Regionup: http://www.regionup.com (you need to be earning $100,000 per annum to join this portal)

There are huge opportunities in Singapore, but its just the approach you take will matter the most.
