Does anyone ever actually talk about anything important?

Anyway, it's all relative, first world problems;

Train breaks down for one day - but, buses and taxis work.

1 (only 1) Mental Woman sneaks over border - but, they know about it and apprehend her in a few days. Probably nothing to worry about in regards to security on this occasion, there are hundreds a day in US and UK!

Stupid AngMoh says something stupid. So what.

It's all a bit flim-flam.

There are real issues in places where people are dying, wars are breaking out, why are we worried about such daft things?

Just saying.... Seems silly

I disagree; I think it's jibber-jabber.

Bleeding 'ell mate, you should get a job at the ST, such was the positive 'nothing to see, move along please' spin on that one. 'I'm sure the gahmen here agree and will let her go with just a verbal warning not to do it again, right?'

But hold on, which UK/US ministries get hundreds of vehicle-borne intruders a day?

Because SG is my home, and it's going to seriously impact me and my family if a loony 'does a Beirut' against state infrastructure, never mind a government ministry.

On the same site, they also mentioned that he left Singapore for Perth. I hope the online lynch mob is happy.

Supposedly he has left Singapore for Perth along with his job. A win for the FT haters.

There is help for Mr. Casey. Send him to a "poverty simulation" program.

It's pretty funny, all the boiling rage, pages and pages of it pitched at HSBC

Who of course aren't involved in any way.

No wonder they need FT here!

If I had my Facebook hacked, and then exploited by the government owned media, I can't say I'd EVER come back, never mind wish to.

p.s. A full on expat posting to SG is a bit like encountering that rather smutty looking chick on the next table in a bar. Fun to get in there and make hay while the sun shines, but neither of you are planning on it being long-term... take care not to piss her off though as she'll take your wallet, and then try and break your rice-bowl.

I had a chance meeting with a random guy from Europe who was out cycling and got lost. He was in Singapore for a day or 2 on the way to his final destination. We told me that he has asked someone for directions to the MRT earlier in the day and the person asked him 'have you lost your Porsche'. Har har.
