Holy crap, way to stick it to da man...any reasons for it?
"Mentally unstable" was the reason. Soon we'll find out she's the same woman who jumped into the decoration at Changi T1 :D

Here it is on Today Online:
http://www.todayonline.com/singapore/mf ... e-security

This really makes Singapore look bad:
SINGAPORE — In what has been described as a very serious lapse in border security, a 27-year-old Malaysian woman drove past the Woodlands Checkpoint last Friday afternoon in a Malaysia-registered red Perodua without being stopped by the immigration authorities and gave them the slip despite a lockdown of the car arrival zone.

Three days later, police officers failed to recognise the woman or her car despite an islandwide alert, when they encountered her while helping a taxi driver whom she tailgated all the way to the Police Cantonment Complex. Barely an hour later on the same day, the woman drove her car into the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Sherwood Road premises and drove around the compound without authorisation, after slipping past the security post by tailgating a vehicle in front.

I was arrested and interrogated... they asked "why"? I said "don't you feel the same ways sometimes?" - they said "yes we do" and let me go. Maybe they understood her bloodymindedness and maybe she had just come back from the docs with bad news.... we never know the reason why really..... Singapore is a very stressful environ and I'm surprised there isn't more of this actually.
You seriously did this?
Yes
I think more and more the police is one of the most reasonable local social group in this country.

Wow, a young Malaysian lady in a Perodua. This is a truly Malaysia Boleh scenario that can make big boys in Singapore cry... /sarcasm

She probably took apprenticeship under Mas Selamat because, seriously, how could she slip past the vehicle arrival lockdown? Any drive who drove through Woodlands checkpoint before knows that it is impossible.

I foresee some additional 'FT' (Gurkhas) being deployed to the ministries.

I smell conspiracy...the lady was actually a government operative who was "let go" in the checkpoint to prove there's a hole in the system.

Therefore in a couple of months, there will be another bill that will increase the security at the checkpoint, and will increase the security measures to TSA levels, or/and of course as JR8 mentioned, deployments of Gurkhas...my question is...why now? "Wag The Dog" style of tactics? (If you've seen the movie) if so, what are they trying to cover up?

Well, I'm not good at making conspiracy theories, but it's worth a try, ain't it? :P

CNY traffic jam at the checkpoints is going to be worse than ever because of this...

Akimbo - you're alluding to a false flag attack.

I'm quite convinced that FF attacks are indeed part of Singapore's methodology for frightening her citizens into line. At least here they don't allow terrorists (from an allied nation) to destroy two skyscrapers and kill 3000 people to prove a point and clamp down on civil liberties.

From wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_flag

In its most modern usage, the term may also refer to those events which governments are cognizant of and able to stop but choose to allow to happen (or "stand down"), as a strategy to entangle or prepare the nation for war (or a clamp down on the populace).

I'd thought the gobby ang-moh was the 'wag the dog' fall-guy, to eclipse the MY-nutter.

But (making a conspiracy theory, and 'squaring' it), how about ang-moh and nutter are both eclipse-tactics?

Ooooh.... :o  :P

p.s. There is an amusing circularity to it all; the public distraction of a mass-jab at an FT, in parallel together with the likely heightened need to bring in and employ additional FTs (Gurkhas).

Yes, but we 'need to show the people that something is being done' don't we?

You can probably bet it will have to be something to do with deflecting animosity away from the MRT system.
