I know right? For all of the money you pay for your Youtube subscription, you'd think they'd listen to your complaints about unskipable ads!

Looks like agar-agar jelly.
At last I know now what is this about.

Sergiei, I use adblock edge or adblock plus under Firefox. These are the plugins so search for them within the extension tab. Likely your green guy will disappear.

Adblock plus takes care of that.

Moreover, from youtube.com, you can click on your name/profile pick, click on Youtube settings, then privacy then Google Ads settings. You will be presented with a dashboard from which you can tweak your advertisement settings. There's also an Interests section which has what Youtube thinks are your interests based on your viewing habits.

Or you can just watch Youtube videos in Incognito Mode/Private Browsing/"Porn Mode" where you're not logged in into your Google account and it won't know what your viewing history is.

What's interesting, I never log in to Youtube. But since I now and then do search for something strength-related in youtube, all 7 of my devices (4 laptops and 3 androids) show this 2-legged animal advertising his work...jerkouts.

It has a cookie set. It may not know your account, but it knows what you watched from the last visit. If you start viewing My Little Pony videos, the ads would gradually change.

Just install adblock plus if you really hate that guy since it seems it's not the tracking that bothers you but that specific ad.

Do you have a google or gmail account on the laptops? It doesn't matter if you specifically logged into youtube from any of those devices, Google will track and correlate your usage between all devices. e.g., they know it's Sergei Banner from all seven of those devices. Stop using Google completely and erase your cookies on the laptops, and log out of all google accounts and wipe the Android phones (which would make the Android devices pretty useless unless you know Chinese and go all Baidu)

That's an option. Or just use an iPhone or Win8 phone without logging in to your Google account, and follow the other tips above for the laptops.

Or if he doesn't want to buy new devices entirely, flash those devices with ROMs that don't require a Google account. There should be some out there. E.g. CM without flashing gapps.

Right, which I addressed above with the "Learn Chinese and use Baidu" comment. Android phones without Google Services are pretty... sparse. Unless you head to the pirated app store/side loaded route, in which case you're at much higher risk of malicious tracking than Google sending you some six pack abs videos.

In decreasing order of difficulty/needed resources:

3. Replace 3 devices with non-big company offerings.
2. Use blocking software/plugins.
1. Ignore one ad.

well IMO you missed one:

1.5. whine on the Internet about targeted Google Ads

Since I can't tell if the thread is meant to be tongue in check whining or a legitimate rant, I figured I would throw silly suggestions out there too.

But one must chuckle at the irony of a guy with three Android devices bitching about Google's targeted ads. Hell those ads could be because Google Location tracking noticed he was always at the gym.

Not shitting me huh? They track location and use it to target with ads??? Actually, the idea is quite plausible. But how abt human rights etc etc? If I go to OT, I'll be getting viagra ads?

It is going to get a lot worse than that. Already, companies are seeking to link your photos on your FB and LinkedIn pages to your likes and posts, so that when you walk into a store or a mall, a camera takes a picture of you, and using image recognition, ID's who you are, then places targeted ads on video kiosks, or stores will invite you in with specials directed at you.

Already, Intel is selling an advertising kiosk that is bright enough to tell if you are male/female, young or old, so that it can target ads by sex and demographic.

I can just see it. Elderly gentleman, like SE, walks into a department store and walks down the aisle nearing the ladies foundation department and the video kiosk starts advertising porn & viagra because they recognize his face, know his gender, age and surfing habits. This could be embarrassing should there be females in the vicinity, unless he's in Walmart, then he'll just fit right in.
