There's a lot to consider. I assume you've put a fair amount of research and thought into this prior to getting here. There are a number of threads on this forum that cover all this and more, but without your specifics. I happen to love Tiong Bahru. Loads of options for food/drink/shopping within 10-15 minutes by foot. But we're empty-nesters so it's a little simpler. A couple of our neighbors have little babies and get along well though. I'd say this area is more for people who are comfortable with the local culture. Holland and River Valley have a lot of expats but the shops are higher priced, far as I have seen. Anyhow, try reading through the forum and fine tune your questions and I will guess you'll get more responses.
