Visit pass

Post by ysksky » Thu, 02 Jan 2014 10:21 pm

Hello bros,

Need some quick advice here..

My Malaysian friend came to Singapore on 28/10/2013 and stayed till around early Dec, in between she did back to Malaysia. Today 2/1/2014 she came to Singapore, the immigration officer stamped her visit pass for only 24 days. I believe is due to 60/90 days policy..

May I know is 25/01/2014 is her last day or 26/01/2014? After staying for 24 days is she still allow to re-enter Singapore? or must she stay in Malaysia for 1month then only can enter Singapore again?

Thanks in advance!

Singapore doesn't do the minus-1-day thing .. so 26

But better leave on 25 :D to be safe, unless there is a pressing need for her to stay another 24 hour ..

Oh, how long will she get on her next visit ? it's been told before .. ICA may decide to give her 30 days .. most likely, as she is Malaysian .. and the 89 day rule is only for continued stay ... if she went back to Malaysia, that rule is moot ..

better to stay in Malaysia for a week before coming

Pray, may I ask, what is she doing here ? that may raise questions, if she comes again soon ..

Just realize there is a tool to check the last date of stay..

http://www.ica.gov.sg/VisitorValidityTo ... pageid=351

"Last day of stay allowed in Singapore is 26 Jan 2014 Sunday.
Please ensure that you do not overstay without a valid pass beyond this date."

So she is safe to stay until 26 and exit on the same date..

She was here to look for job but didn't manage to get any job offer even thought she has a degree and work experience..

The immigrant officer told her that after staying for 24 days she needs to stay in Malaysia for 1month only then can re-enter to Singapore. This is the part that I am confused. :???:

What is confusing about one month?

just clarified with ICA, she will need to stay in Malaysia continuously for 30 days to get the 60/90 policy recycled. I was thought as long as 30 days in Malaysia will be sufficient.

Thanks for the help guys! :)
