Mechanical Engineer in Aviation Industry, Salary Advice

Postby jason1919 » Mon, 23 Dec 2013 10:28 pm

Hi friends,

I got an offer of ~9K per month from a MNC in SG, Mechanical Engineer in Aviation Industry. Personally, I am satisfied with the pay (higher than my current one in HK).

Would like to seek your advice on whether the pay is competitive as I am not so familiar with the market there. :)

Thanks.

My understanding is that is pretty good. The LAME / aviation mechanics pool is mainly a local hire pool and pretty poorly paid I'm told. That's probably double what the locals get. I have a friend who is the chief engineer for a US major working on heavies and he tells me that the conditions (pay) are pretty poor compared to the USA.
