Which pre-paid SIM for mobile banking outside Singapore?

Hi,

Does anyone have experience with receiving SMSes while overseas? I'm looking to see if any one carrier shines as being more reliable than others, or more so, if any are unreliable and/or just won't work for receiving SMSes?

Specifically, I want to see which provider to get a pre-paid SIM for that I could register for mobile banking assuming I would be overseas for a few months (or longer). I have good experience with Singtel on my post-paid plan, but don't know how this translates to their pre-paid SIMs. The only time I have an issue with Singtel is if I see the phone roams to a different carrier and I try to receive an SMS within maybe 5-10 minutes of that. Also, I'd need someone I could periodically re-charge off their website (I assume all of them).
