I read the same post(s) and know exactly what you're talking about. I can only imagine the 27 page flame-fest that would ensue if that thread had occurred on this forum :)

*- For those wondering, it is a topic amongst foreigner parents where half are openly bitching about how unfair/corrupt/stupid they feel the gov is for not giving their kids equal priority with PRs and/or citizens in P1 for school. The other half are discussing how to get PR and then get their sons out of doing NS.

To be completely fair, some of the incomprehension at the rejection sometimes stems from the fact that parents come from countries where it is simply not possible not to have a spot.

For most countries with a high quality school system, the official rules is that every child living legally in the country must be found a spot.

To be rejected here causes quite a shock

Just caught up with the FB group. Another Indian living in Clementi has been posted to woodlands area and another one living in the east being sent to AMK.Looks like they want more Indians to shift to the north ;)

Also, in another thread Vietnamese and Americans are discussing about Indian Int'l schools :)

I've sent it. I don't want to post it publically so that it is spammed, but I'll share it with anyone that PMs me and doesn't seem to be a spam bot. :)

I have lived in AMK before(close to Yio Chu Kang road and ave 5) and used to travel to Changi Business park. I used to ride a motorcycle and it used to take me like 25-30 mins over TPE from home to office. That is faster than Tampines to CBP by B.M.W ;)

So those of you considering to move to AMK can consider riding motorcycle. But Marsiling/Woodlands to CBP is a bit of a stretch. Can be done, though. I know people who travel from Pasir Ris/Tampines/Sengkang to their offices in Jurong on Motorcycles.
