Pardon my ignorance, what's the difference between jelly and jam? I've always thought they are the same.

This is Jelly in English ^^

I assume you refer to the American-English "Jelly", which is what we call "Jam" in English, but, there must be some difference, I am not sure what it is??

Another question, would you consider Marmalade Jelly too?

The one with a small bit of fruit blended in is jam, the one without is jelly. I've seen both right next to each other at Cold Storage, FairPrice Finest, etc.

Preserves are the best though.

This might be off topic, but when I first moved here, I was surprised to learn "jelly" is another word for jello:

From wiki:
* In many of the Commonwealth nations and in Ireland, gelatin desserts are called jelly.

* In the United States and Canada, gelatin desserts are called jello (a generic name based on the brand name Jell-O) or gelatin, whereas 'jelly' is a fruit preserve.

Popular brands of premixed gelatin include:

Hartley's in the United Kingdom
Jell-O from Kraft Foods in North America
Aeroplane Jelly in Australia
Robertsons in Hong Kong
Royal in Spain, Portugal and Latin America
Moir's and Trotters in South Africa and Swaziland
