Amusing Protest in London

Post by zzm9980 » Sun, 15 Dec 2013 11:14 am

Local muslims are protesting the sales of alcohol, and trying to implement Sharia law. Is this a common thing in London? Do they actually think they will accomplish it, or is the point to be absurd by abusing the very same English laws and freedoms they hope to replace with Sharia?

It's been a common joke that Britain is pushed around by the immigrant community because they're too PC to draw the line. Reverse racism?

They will achieve it eventually in certain areas via a takeover of local councils.

No it not at all common!
Complex situation. This is brick Lane, historically a magnet for immigrants. Huguenot French (before the French revolution), Jews fleeing Nazism, and latterly Bangladeshi’s granted asylum. If you wanted to visit London and see the ‘’’Indian neighbourhood’’’ you’d head there. Lot’s of good restaurants and bars, not just ‘’’Indian’’’, but still has a trace left of the gritty ‘East End scene’.
The bloke orchestrating this is Choudhary*. Trouble is he and his mob (most of whom look like men dressed in burkas, so as to not be ID’s) are entitled to peaceful protest. Maybe the police think if the public are intimidated then it can’t be helped? The police are veeery PC (long story) and really really really don’t want to be accused of racism, again.

Choudhary also has his Nazi-ish volunteers doing night patrol over the wider area, stopping anyone, *of any race*, from drinking on the street... ‘This is a muslim area, you are not allowed to drink here (Allah be praised, peace be upon him), put that drink in the bin/gutter now!’ etc. I saw vids of this being filmed just recently... genuinely shocking.
I suppose new muslim immigrants are hardly going to immediately start voting for the three main political parties, so they look to people to Choudhary, and he in turn gains power and influence form it.
Can they accomplish it? No, not a chance. But they also know the UK (esp London) is soooo PC that politicians just don’t know how to respond.
The point is to exploit the system for maximum personal benefit (and, you can be sure everyone in the picture is on benefits), knowing the state is like a rabbit caught in the headlights – no idea what to do.

* The last ‘hate preacher’ (as below) immediately preceding Choudhary, Abu Hamza al-Mazri, came from a very similar mould. He and his wives and numerous children lived in a vast house in leafy Chiswick, west London, all on benefits. He finally got chucked after going all the way to the ECHR, AND then appealing, etc, (naturally all on on ‘free’ Legal Aid). Anyway as I recall his wife and dozen-odd children stayed AND kept the house and benefits. As you see in this day and age, these people are almost impossible to act against, and they know it!

[Perhaps this will illuminate why he wasn't too keen on forced out of the UK...

They already have (or had last time I checked) control of Tower Hamlets council, in East London, which is where the featured street lies.
