The guy in the original video is doing 3 drops a minute which works out about $12k a minute or $720k an hour. Even if only 1 drop a minute that still $240k, definitely financially viable.

Max headroom/ SMS.

No I am not disputing your experience..

I know Helicopters auto rotate, but at that height and with a low inertia blade ? i doubt you can think what next before it goes all over. and then you see your 'office' is all over you ..

And when flying Civil, you gotta worry about not only yourself, but those around you ..

A conked off engine - normally equals to a few parts flying around, and more than often, a few injuries.

The idea is to avoid unwanted mishaps, not that you can't do it.

In the army, yes, you can crash it and maybe get a write up (no, never served in the army .. but I think so .. )

In Civil world ? it is about balancing risk ..

(not doubting any of your experience .. and mine is a teeny meeny small amount of yours... obviously, and none in the pointy end)

I can damn sure identify with that. That also might be why I ended up as a Commercial Diver as well, as it's just about the same. :o
