Hello everyone,
I just find a job in Singapore after three months of hunting. It is a private small company and obviously they are not going to take care of Employment Pass.
The employer ask me if I need the pension fund scheme (maybe CPF, don't remember which acronym exactly), and then he realise the scheme is only for PR and Singaporean.
Seeking for suggestions/recommendations about pension solution for foreign non-EP. Thank you very much!
eg. I have searched the forum for relevant keywords and get nothing of this question. If anyone have the same experience or have a clue my situation please leave a message. Thank you!

WTF!! Run. As fast as you can, else you will be an illegal over-stayer who is not legally employed. You employer MUST apply for either a work permit or an employment pass. You cannot apply for it - the employer must do it as they will be the sponsor. You cannot work without one or the other.

As a WP/EP holder you are not eligible for CPF (State pension plan) Only Permanent Residents or Citizens can contribute to the CPF fund.

There is nothing available unless you purchase a private annuity from an insurance company. You better make sure you can even work here legally first. Pension plans may well be the least of your problem.

You haven't got a job without an employer sponsored EP - you've got a problem. GTFO Singapore before you end up in Changi.

Hey, thanks for your guys' reply, I am now have a working pass so it will be fine. Also, thanks for the information from sundaymorningstaple about the retirement plan. Just check about that, AIA and some other Insurance company have that service on the list. Unfortunately I probably now don't have enough money to put on it.

Hey, I don't know which part of my words let you become angry or irritating. If so, I feel sorry about it.

You didn't make me angry - I was trying to emphasize the risk you may have been in if you didn't have an employer arranged WP and you were actually working.

And by Changi, he means the Prison not the Airport.

Personally I think this is BS. CPF is savings scheme and not a pension. This is a bad outcome for Singaporeans etc who migrated to NZ.
