New to Singapore, 31/F/from Newcastle, looking for friends

Post by Lisa-Marie » Wed, 27 Nov 2013 2:05 am

Hi All,

I just moved from the UK 6 days ago with my husband (job relocation) and I am living in Robertson Quay. I don't know anyone here yet so am looking for friends.

It would be nice to meet people for chat, lunch, coffee (although I generally prefer drinks of the alcoholic variety) going out, whatever really. I am up for most things!

Lisa

Hi Lisa-Marie!

Hope you're settling in nicely.

I'm Jo, fellow northern lass (from Manchester originally) moved here a few months ago with my hubbie. Got some lovely friends here but always on the lookout for some good old British banter. I'm about in the day/night and always up for a good old girly chat and giggles over coffee/lunch/a vino or 3 ( the latter being my orefered option)

If you fancy meeting up or I can help you settle in in any way give us a shout as I'm not far from Roberston Quay at all.

Cheers
Jo :-)

Hi all,

I am In a similar position as moved here with my boyfriend 3weeks ago from London and would really like to meet some more people, especially as my boyfriend works quite long hours and I think my job hunt may take some time! I would be up lunch or going for drinks in the evening. My email address is [email protected].

Cheers, Emma

Ar divnt nar if you have discovered it yet but the Toon Army of Singapore is based at the Penny Black pub in Boat Quay.

So if you are missing some Geordie banter then if you pop along there at game time am.sure you will get plenty.

Hey Lisa,

How are you finding Singas? I arrive for the first time at the end of the month to start a new job.

I'm 27, from Manchester and too would like to meet some decent drinking buddies to show me round town.

Here's my email if you'd like to meet up for a coffee when I arrive? Be great to hear how you're settling in - . [email protected]

Any tips for a newbie would be much appreciated!

Cheers, Laura
