Wondering if I could get help with finding a reputable dog boarding facility for our 4 year old female Shiba Inu here in Singapore. We've been living here since July and have never used a boarding facility other than the Changi and Sembawang facilities. Tora was very happy in both these areas because she had her own living area and individual walking area away from the other animals.
We've been to see a few areas in Pasir Ris but didn't think they'd be suitable for her. They had a number of dogs that were all in close proximity to each other and most of the dogs were charging the fences. We didn't think this would be a suitable environment for a dog that's afraid. Tora is a very finicky dog that is ok if left alone. She does not require that much interaction other than to be fed and taken out twice a day for bathroom breaks. It's just the breed of the dog that they like their own space and they like it very clean. She is also not an off leash dog which is another characteristic of a Shiba Inu dog. If given an opportunity they will run because they are hunting dogs. Other than this she is great.
Our problem is since we've moved here Tora has been attacked by 2 dogs, that got away from their owner. She's not happy with other dogs at the moment. It's making it that much more difficult for us.
Any help would be appreciated....

I think with the whole land thing you might find it hard to find a kennel with extensive grounds that can really separate outside of the quarantine kennels. What about pet sitting? There's a few of those. Or try your vet, we had a Doberman very similar to your girl and he used to be boarded at the vets because for a couple of years no boarding would take him.

If you're interested in pet sitting as opposed to boarding, I'd check out Pet Buddies. The owner is terrific! She'll arrange to come to your home once or twice a day and groom / walk your pet. Here's the address:
http://sgpetbuddies.com. I hope this helps!

If you can find a reliable home boarding, that would be the best.
The cost varies from $20-50 per day. My dog has been with 3 home boarding numerous times in 6 years. All the 3 home boarding families are locals and dog lovers, of cause. Unfortunately they all have their own issues now can't take care dog anymore.

If this doesn't help, email SQ through their feedback form. For some reason, they are unreachable through phone. Horrible customer service.
