Oh, he was shocked, alright. But he is on syndicated TV as well so couldn't go off the deep end but he did try to deflect it with the statistical noise comment, which I even had to chuckle at. I loved the laughter though. He really got a good dose of this...

In fact that could mean his one of his Great, Great Grandparents was black! Statistical noise my butt!

SOME PEOPLE TRY TO TURN BACK THEIR ODOMETERS. NOT ME. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHY I LOOK THIS WAY. I'VE TRAVELED A LONG WAY, AND SOME OF THE ROADS WEREN'T PAVED. ~ Will Rogers
The hostess is Trisha (Trisha Goddard) who had a daytime UK TV show (Channel 5 (indicator of the HIGHEST kwalitythe lynx wrote:I can't see why the man in the video is a 'shocked' white supremacist. He behaved quite reasonably. And I can't find the full version of this talk show to determine the context.

The above suggests her show is on NBC, and gets relayed/re-aired on the UK's C5.
In front of which is a Yank on bagpipes, whilst some American nutter cackles his way past.
No use looking for reason or logic, just move along...
He's arguably bonkers and hate-filled. Do you think it better that that is his right (i.e. freedom of expression/belief), or do you think the law should mandate and monitor beliefs?
I don't believe in any God. Who is to judge me for that?

Yes, quite interesting. As when arch-segregationist Strom Thurmon was outed in 2003 as having fathered a child with a "Negro maid" working in his father's home. She was 70, his daughter that is, when she disclosed this fact. The family did not deny it.
Strom Thurmon led a filibuster in 1957 against the proposed Civil Rights Act.

Isn't it curious that sometimes it is those that have flown closest to the candle that would have it outlawed.
I'm more of a 'free speecher'. Let everyone express their views. I don't like his views: fine. Him mine?: fine.
Let each of us decide. I don't see the big deal, or why opinions have to be banned or made illegal. The latter suggests that we adults are too stupid to make our own minds up, we need some gray bureaucrats in an office somewhere to write legislation to protect us.

Even if his right infringes other people's right? He harassed a villager for marrying someone from African heritage, "in expression of his view" of white supremacy, among all the others things he did to the rest of the villagers.JR8 wrote:Isn't it curious that sometimes it is those that have flown closest to the candle that would have it outlawed.

Right of expression of views is a very weak excuse for racism. Two different things.
Oh sorry, I hadn't really clocked the 'back-story' to it. I thought it was just 'Trisha interviews a fruit-loop', as happens about 20 times a week.the lynx wrote:Even if his right infringes other people's right? But what of this right of free speech/expression? It's ok and enshrined until some randomer with a peaked cap and clipboard decides it's not ok. Hmmm, is that how it works?
