Floatation Tank

Post by Derrick.F » Mon, 11 Nov 2013 11:02 am

Whats good! I floated regularly in the States, but now that I'm in Singapore the nearest floatcenter is in Taiwan and flying there to float is not viable for me. So I got myself a floatation tank   and I'm wondering if there are any floaters out there?

It's a lightproof, soundproof, temperature regulated tank that is filled with concentrated salt water. It removes all sensory inputs all at once and this gives you a lot of space and time to think.

Different floaters I know have different reasons for floating, I use it mostly to meditate and reduce stress. I practice martial arts regularly as well so I float to speed up the recovery from injuries. Plus, it leaves me feeling positive after that.

I've checked with them, they dont have it anymore and they used to charge $300 for an hour. Too expensive for me

Aqua Physio sadly no longer has a tank. Above mentioned Verita seems to be the only place left. The tank at 4 Seasons is for members/guests only.

Page doesn't exist.

So any updates on this? Has anyone actually found and floated in Singapore?

Hi, I used float tanks regularly in the UK, but also had problems finding anywhere in Singapore.

I am very envious that you have your own tank! I have for years wanted to do this, but never had the space.

I was very close to building my own and was about to order the parts, before I moved here.

I used to go every week in London and Bristol, for about 10 years!

If you ever need a second opinion on your tank, I would happily contribute salt and power costs!

Thanks
