Bomb-shelter vents - how to open/close?
Bomb-shelter vents - how to open/close?
Our bomb shelter is situated on a corner with the apartment. On each of the two external sides is a c10" circular vent, with a seal-able cover mounted on four rods. One vent is open, the other closed.
I was in there this morning and it is smelling a bit musty (i.e. of mold), so I'd like to open the 2nd vent to allow through-flow of air. However, I can see no obvious means by which the vents open and close, and the open one does not appear to want to move at all, not even 0.1mm, if pushed.
Any clues would be appreciated!

I had a similar situation. on close inspection, I noticed that the metal plate was painted over. on close inspection found 4 screws. unscrewed them and the plate came off. my 2 cents.JR8 wrote:Our bomb shelter is situated on a corner with the apartment.
