How is it Possible?

Post by where4plastic » Sat, 02 Nov 2013 11:58 pm

Hello All,
This is my first post, just signed up for the site.
I have been reading and thankful for people who
have posted especially the few with pictures.

I have a big problem though, how is it possible
that over 90% of the talks/reviews here are about
only a handful of Drs? Do these Doctors own this forum?
I see so many unanswered questions that are usually about
surgeons/work in Korea or Singapore or anywhere else.
The only questions that get answered here seems to be
about the same Drs, I don't even have to say their names
one just has to read all the cosmetic surgery threads. So I
understand if Singapore or Korea or other places is more
expensive, but the chances of no one never getting surgery
in those places is nil and none.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm not sure how to
trust all these talks about these few Doctors. And a great
write up about the Dr without supporting before and
after pictures makes it even clearer that most of these
are probably fake reviews. I am disappointed because I am
sure some of these Drs are great yet I would PROBABLY
not use them because of my suspicions. This is my first
time even considering plastic surgery and I was so glad when
I found this forum but now I don't know if I can go by
anything posted here. Seems really made up.

As this is a public forum, over time, you will find that there are surgeon whom locals trust and those who they don't trust. Cost is a major factor and most Singaporean want mercedes service while only willing to spend Kia prices. Therefore the local surgeons are almost useless as they charge extremely high with dubious results for the money. There are a number of surgeons who have made a name for themselves (be it good or bad). This site is a real estate portal not a PS portal. The member are free to discuss who they desire. Cream will always rise to the top in any jug of milk. The better surgeons (results/price ratio) therefore get discussed more. Sounds pretty reasonable (if you are a reasonable person) The clinics that advertise here pay to advertise as it their right. Therefore it sounds like a case of sour grapes to me. If you have used another surgeon for procedures and have good results and can recommend them, by all means, do so. However, if you are just trying to feel you way, to see if you can advertise for your buddy or yourself, then as soon as we figure it out, your account will be deleted as will your posts.

Well, I'll get banned for anything but advertising because I do not have anyone to write about. I found this forum looking for plastic surgery providers in Asia. I was so happy to find it because trying to find a good
Dr has to be one of the hardest things I have ever done. No idea it would try to take all my brain cells. Fear of botched jobs, fear of having to travel thousands of miles for revisions or probably pay twice as much to have revisions done locally. I have no problems with Drs advertising. I have already stated where my problems are. True or false it's just a gut feeling. In the gambling world we call it shilling. The fact that you have warned me about trying to be slick in singing about my Dr (which like I said I don't have) tells me you know exactly what I'm talking about. The numbers show very good traffic to this site. I still contend there are just too many people over so many years talking about the same Drs. Most of them not even in Bangkok. The average person heading to Thailand would not run into these Drs.

Our rankings speak for themselves. You buys your ticket and you takes your chances. Nobody is twisting your arm that I know of. You read, you take what you want, you leave the rest. And you live with your results. The board doesn't endorse anybody. Paid advertisers are just that. Members opinions are just that. It's up to the reader to interpret the information to their way of liking. You may have been leaning towards a particular surgeon before you came to this site. You may have found information that runs contrary to your own conclusions. It's up to you to sift data and decide. Frankly, I don't know why anybody would go under the knife unless for reconstructive surgery due to birth defect or accident. But that is only 'my' belief. I don't try to force anybody to think along my lines. :-|

What rankings? your traffic that I referred to? Why don't you clean cache/history and Google 'plastic surgery Thailand' and see if you find 'you'. Like you said, this is a real estate portal, so how do so many people searching for plastic surgery in Thailand find you? I say they must have been searching for Thailand because even after they find this great forum, they never show any interest in any other place. Incredible. I have no problems with paid advertisers as long as that is disclosed. My point though is that some of these posters must be paid advertisers under cover. Which would make their reviews biased and sometimes downright lies. Have no doubt, I now wonder if you may be the face behind some of these reviews? What better way to have the Drs continue to do 'paid advertising'. By the way, they are probably here but I've not noticed any paid Drs ads. In my side bar I usually have banners for Avis, Dating & Friends, Learn Mandarin in 24hrs. Nothing for Plastic Surgery. Btw, PS is some serious stuff, no one ever just buys a ticket and take off. We try to research as best as possible. That's why I'm here my friend. I would love for you to humor me though, like updating your rules that 'no review that references a Dr can be without before and after pictures'. I wonder just how many new posters would pop out of the woodwork.

Those who visit this site for information regarding PS don't need Google to find us. They already know. They are almost 100% local Singaporeans with maybe some Malaysians thrown in for good measure. Why would we care what a Noob, posting from a blacklisted Las Vegas IP address, thinks? If you don't think we have the information you need, then just move on. Simple, yeah? Or, do you just want to be our troll of the week? Is that it? Frankly, we really don't care one iota what you think. If some are paid advertisers under deep cover, what's it to you? Is it any skin (plastic or otherwise) off of your nose?

aaahhh, quit throwing a tantrum like a 4 year old.
What BLACKLISTED ip u talking about? So what, I'm in Las Vegas,
searching for Plastic Surgeons in Thailand, so what's the big deal
in that? Why don't you post PROOF of your 'blacklisted ip'.
Let's just hope you never have to search for anything online where
all you find is a bunch of obviously made up stories. And then the moderator comes and wants to bully you on your own thoughts of what you found.
Local Singaporeans? My thoughts exactly...would love to hear more
about some Doctors from Singapore. Can you make that happen my love???

Only Literates name call.

@nakatago... I've let it go, made my point and let it go. After all, I need
to find a Dr. Need to keep searching these Interwebs.

Any Malaysian success stories in the house? (or failures)
