Bogus. Not their style. Neither was the UTube clip from 3 days ago and subsequently uploaded by the TRS site. But the fact that they threatened Singapore mean they can be charged with a capital crime in Singapore. The context/syntax of the UTube message was pure local. Funny thing is, as it can be considered a capital offense, all the FB'rs that are vocally supporting them can be picked up under the ISA and detained at the presidents pleasure for decades if they suspect a sympathizerh, just like the communists sympathizers during the 1960's here.
SOME PEOPLE TRY TO TURN BACK THEIR ODOMETERS. NOT ME. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHY I LOOK THIS WAY. I'VE TRAVELED A LONG WAY, AND SOME OF THE ROADS WEREN'T PAVED. ~ Will Rogers
Who are 'they'? Good luck finding out. Isn't that the main thrust of it?
Most governments wouldn't blink at such a pin-prick criticism. Not here, it's like the gay who gets told his plucked eyebrow is 1mm out of line... most people could deal with it, but here, it's such a small world/life... it's the end.
In some respects it must be terrifying moving from SG to, well, anywhere else. Outside the cosseted-for-life existence. IME SGns are either in it or out, signed up to the programme or not. They're either fully signed up, or tasting the alt they're catapulted out into. Most (in fact all, for me) SGns I know who've left, don't look back.

Isn't that the thing, they're a chameleon. The 'Wanted: $100 Reward' poster doesn't work in the modern day. It's bows and arrows in battle facing semi-auto rifles.zzm9980 wrote: There is no "they", "they" have no style. It can be anyone or everyone.
I'm sure Anonymous has SGn members, but it doesn't mean they're SG based. I'd imagine an SGer abroad can express an opinion re: his home country without fear of extradition and Sentosa/Guantanamo

There's only so many people the state can lock up.
p.s. being anonymous on the internet is pretty straight-forward. My next post could be as 'Abdul' from Bradford, England with the applicable IP address, just, posted from McDonalds at Plaza Singapura. If a technophobe like me can do that... what of the techie-kids these days?
