If it is helpful, the pension numbers for Tokyo are slightly wrong. The amount is 14,980 per month,
OR you go into a split situation with your employer paying half of 17%.
I think most solopreneurs would be paying the flat Y14,890 per month, with the understanding that their final pension amount would be much smaller than if they were on the employer supported scheme.
