Good stuff!

Hopefully 'Marine Parks' have the stuff in gear. As when ever there was a big storm threatening, fishing boats* from far and wide would come and moor up in Tioman's Tekek Bay. It's a national park so they can't legally fish, but... ... Plus I don't think anyone else was equipped to go and 'take out' sharks that lived just 200-300 offshore.

* Marine Parks impounded two of these boats (Thai). Stripped them out, filled them with rocks and sunk them > artificial reefs > wreck dives, 'Sawasdee' and 'Pirates'... and IIRC a 3rd at Soyak

Just for the record... and to confuse you guys - there are two species of sharks at renggis: Small black tip reef sharks you can usually see on the first dive in the morning and loads of coral cat sharks you can see there during night dives. Here is a photo of one I took in July:

Nice photo (especially coral cat sharks, so cute!) but do you know you risk your Facebook profile being identified?

Try using image hosting websites to avoid linking the photos to your personal social network, unless you don't mind.

Edited: to remove FB reference

Ooh ooh ooh, nice pic.

[Dived Tioman lots, incl Rengis, but never night-dived there! So pleased but also super-stunned/curious too :)]

Thanks for the warning, but to be honest do I indeed not see the risk(?) I don't really see how any baddy could take advantage of connecting my account here to my FB one... I am probably too naive, so what am I missing?

P.S> Edited my post and dumped the pic into my photo bucket account... so please delete the FB link in your quote ;-)

As a bonus a shot from my Palau trip this spring:
