The wife reminded me that part of the success in giving up smoking since 16th September has been also giving up alcohol.............completely. Have a few drinks, high probability of reaching for a fag.

Of course I will also be the one with a photographic memory of everything that goes on during the evening

There's no doubt alcohol leads to giving into temptations for whatever weakness one has. I tend to indulge in the wrong things after drinking and have been cutting back to one or two but no more as well. I had planned on doing Octsober (all of October alcohol free) but haven't been as disciplined as I should have been.
