Just an update:

I checked again tonight and, inexplicably, many days freed up in the months between now and April, including multiple slots this Friday! I've successfully changed my appointment time in view of that :)

If anyone else encounters the same problem as I did, I would definitely suggest re-checking the available slots regularly.

I wonder if that's due to them having hired more staff?

Anyway, good for you, definitely preferable to being a 'walk-in'.

Good for you! I did this too when I had my appointment and managed to bring the time forward one month. I think it's maybe due to people cancelling or… who knows.

5 months on I'm still patiently waiting for the result. The whole process has taken me a year so far from the date I booked the appointment. It's definitely not a quick process - but the whole point of applying is that I want to be here permanently anyway. So no rush!

Hi - is there a particular time when ICA releases these slots? I heard from somewhere are freed up / canceled slots are released at midnight. But after checking for a week at exactly midnight, I still don't see anything available!

Did you bother to look at the time stamp of the post? A lot of changes to the way systems work can be implemented in 3 years.

You heard from somewhere? :o =D>

from what I tried and saw, it is 6pm and 8pm but the open slot usually is the day after.. so I prepared everything first then try to catch a slot.
