Hi all,
I'm looking to talk to anyone who's experienced home schooling using the IB curriculum.
I have a 9 (P3) and 7 (P1) year old who are currently in a school. I'm considering following the home schooling route providing I can find the right teacher that can bring out the best in my two who are both good kids.
If anyone knows and can recommend any teachers, that'd be amazing.
I live in the Serangoon area,
Please feel free to PM me
Thanks

For me, the IB is more of a philosophy than curriculum, I homeschooled like that for 1 year and designed my own units of inquiry. Google IB learner profiles and IB unit of inquiry cycle.
Most homeschoolers in singapore have parents who do the teaching. There are plenty of great books and courses you can buy. I do know of one lady who hired local tutors for each subject.
Depending on what path you choose, you could buy books and courses for $500 or less, or if you joined something like K-12 academy with a fully online teacher and class maybe $4000 a year. (Not exactly sure)

Hi mansoor999,
I have a friend i would like to introduce you, a local National Institute of Education graduate by the name Andrew, a very responsible and sensible young chap, knowledgeable and charges a very fair amount (in my opinion) regarding tuitions and perhaps home schooling.
I don't know if he has any home school teaching experience but considering he is a certified teacher, i think it's only up to him to plan and design something for your kids, you really should give him a call and see if you guys can work things out, here are his details,
Andrew - +65 9388 nine three one two
If he asks where you got his contacts from, let him know it's from Edmond
Good luck.
