I guess you need to go to one of the sports pubs to watch the live games.

Anyone know of any streaming sites that are decent enough?

Can you access MLB.TV? Best place to get all games live or even to watch archived games (if you have a subscription).

Now if only my beloved Oakland can get past those pesky Tigers!!

Stephen, does that really work? I mean, work well enough? My experience with streaming TV is that the quality is pretty sucky at peak times, i.e. when the event in question is on.

If the quality is decent, then that sounds like a deal.

You've watched MLB.tv before?

Depending on your internet bandwidth allowance, it can be amazing.

I have used it for about 8-9 years when based in UK and now in Australia.

Currently, I hook my laptop up to my TV through HDMI. Since the broadcasts are in HD, you get a perfect HD picture through the TV.

The best thing about it is that for users outside of US and Canada can watch EVERY game live or as an archive since there are no local channel restrictions. I would fully recommend it.

As for the subscription, they are doing a post season special rate, so you will be able to watch all the post season games from the comfort of your home.

The main thing to consider is how good your bandwidth connection is and what data allowance you have with your internet provider.

Yeah, good point, bandwidth is crucial. My download speed is 10MB. Just did a test and it showed 10.8, so I reckon that should suffice eh?

The other day, I watched Rollie Fingers in that 70's World Series classic on Youtube. Awesome even now.

That bandwidth is more than enough to watch the games in HD! Wish I could get that in Australia.... :-)

If Oakland don't win the World Series this year, I may need to watch the old classics to keep me going for another year. And you can't go wrong with Rollie and his incredible mustache!!

I remember watching those 70's games on one of them rattling movie projectors when I was a kid. Reggie was so our idol.

That epic Joe Rudi catch! That awesome Joe Ferguson throw! Feast your eyes on this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RekGF1J1OKA

Unfortunately I am working so will need to avoid the score (i.e. ignore almost all forms of online media!!) until I get home to watch the archived game.

As an Oakland fan, my nerves are shot! 8-[ [-o<

Who are you going for in the post season? If not your own team, who do you support?

I kinda lost track of the players now. But the Yankees always hold a certain amount of magic for me after watching them play in Yankee Stadium as a kid.

I'll never forget waiting for hours for Reggie Jackson to come out of the players' exit. When he finally did appear, in his RR Corniche, he didn't so much as give us a nod, haha.

But, yeah, I'll root for the A's :)

Just to update OP.

This MLB thing is awesome. Have yet to miss a game. It's not the best baseball on display here, but we're getting plenty of weirdness instead, and that's making this one of the most memorable series I've ever seen.

MVP so far is a tossup between David Ortiz and Jon Lester.

Game 6 tomorrow morning 8 am Sing time.

Hi sorry if this may seem like a question with an obvious answer, but MLB.TV works fine here in Singapore without any VPN right?
