PR is rejected, Do I need to wait or Appeal?

Post by alkion77 » Mon, 07 Oct 2013 3:31 pm

Hi All

I need you guys advise~
I applied PR on Apr 2013 and rejected today.
I don't received mail but I can see status on ICA web.

Here is my detail
Age : 36
Nationality : Korean (South)
Job : IT Engineer in US company
Salary : 6.5K / Month
length of stay : 4 yrs (me), 3yr (wife and son)

I hold EP and applied PR with my falimy as well (wife and son).
This was my first time to apply.

I heard that it is quite strict to approve PR now but not sure what reason is.
Also as I read in here, no reason is shown in the letter from ICA.

But one of my colleague from China, he is single and salary is lower than me but he got PR last month! (he applied Jan 2013).

So is it worth to appeal? or just wait and re-apply?
And is there any special way to appeal?
Go to ICA or just send email or mail?

Please advise. thanks in advance!

If you get the letter with "apply after [certain-period]", better wait. But does your wife work?

nope, she does't work in SG. Can it be a reason?

Koreans, I suspect, come under the 'other race' category - an oversubscribed category.

I'd not plan on making Singapore your long term home to be honest.

Would suggest you to be patient and retry again after 1.5 years. It would be good if you have improvements in your career/salary and also contribution to Singapore by then.
