You left the most impt point in your profile (which I am guessing probably is the reason why your Citizenship got approved before any renewals of REP -- your salary

I'm clutching at straw as I'm guessing he got PR via the old Graduate Scheme which probably had some kind of Citizen clause attached etc etc

May I know what was your basic salary when you first applied in 2011?

Hi, do you have to serve NS now that you've become a Singapore Citizen?

No. First generation PR by PTS scheme (i.e. by work) are exempted from NS - and the exemption carries on in case they become citizens later. But if you become PR by family ties (i.e. married a citizen) you are not exempted.

You are 29 years of age and got exempted from serving NS , while all those who were born here have to do 2 ot 3 years full -time NS and continue will Reservist In-camp training till we are 40 years old.

He is 30 when he got it. Not sure if the age 30 and above has any bearing on whether he would be called to serve NS or not.
