Pimp My Tuk Tuk Challenge!
In just over 2 weeks time, I will be taking part in probably the most amazing adventure of a lifetime travelling across India in a Tuk Tuk! Basically there are
22 Guys
11 Tuk Tuks
1,087km
In 6 days
From Chennai to Goa
Apart from being an amazing adverture, on a serious note we are aiming to raise as much money as possible for our chosen Singapore and India Children's Charities. Were are supporting the
Singapore Children's Society
India Round Table
The details of our trip can be found on our website www.pimpmytuktuk.net which also details how you can make a donation, every $ helps! All 22 of us have self funded this trip entirely so every $ we raise will go directly to these Charities
You can follow/like us on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/PimpMyTukTuk
Thanks for taking the time to read this and hope you will follow our progress during the Pimp My Tuk Tuk Challenge!

SOME PEOPLE TRY TO TURN BACK THEIR ODOMETERS. NOT ME. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHY I LOOK THIS WAY. I'VE TRAVELED A LONG WAY, AND SOME OF THE ROADS WEREN'T PAVED. ~ Will Rogers
Sounds fun. I've a couple of those legs actually (independently, not together) and I think you're in for quite the adventure. I hope the person that planned it out knows what they're doing though... Bangalore to Mysore by car is about three hours. But I know Bangalore to Mangalore is at least twelve, and the most direct route isn't through Mysore. You may have a few long days coming up
You can't trust Google Maps time estimates in India. They're way off, sometimes by half.

These guys are the company who have organised this for us so I think they know what they are doing. Yes Bangalore to Mangalore is going to be a long day

Another thing about Bangalore - Mangalore route is no matter which route you take you will come accross a hilly stretch at the western ghats. But luckily its downhill when you are going from Bangalore to Mangalore.
I did that stretch last year in a Small Car (light but 1000CCs) and it was loads of fun, kind of made up for the lack the driving pleasures here in Singapore.

Ok, I feel a little better for you knowing it wasn't devised by a bunch of drunk expats one evening at the Juban standSaint wrote:These guys are the company who have organised this for us so I think they know what they are doing. Yes Bangalore to Mangalore is going to be a long day
