PR Chances for wife

Post by kcww » Sat, 14 Sep 2013 7:19 pm

Hi, would like to get an opinion on my wife's PR chances.

Wife's profile:
Filipino, 27 years old, studied in NUS for her bachelor's. Working for 3 years, salary 4.3K per month at MNC.

My profile:

Singaporean Chinese male, 29 years old, degree holder. Working for 3 years. Salary 2.5K per month but with quarterly performance based bonus. Average annual salary for past 2 years, approx 240K p.a.

Wife applied on her own twice in 2011, rejected. Applied as spouse once in march 2012 soon after we got married, also rejected. MP wrote appeal letter, also rejected. We have been married for 1.5 years.

Comments much appreciated!

Give it more time being married. My guess is that as long as you both maintain gainful employment she should be good at about the 3yr of marriage mark.

While your take-home pay is significant, ICA will only count the 2.5k base.

Have a baby son and reapply. Unfortunately since the Malay hue and cry about Flips coming in as Malay race (which was not true but regardless) the ICA has tightened up on them I suspect.
