still no tracking number from DHL?

Post by racmin » Thu, 05 Sep 2013 8:21 pm

I bought an item from a malaysian seller and she said she already sent it via DHL express on 3rd september at around 5pm. She's supposed to ship to singapore. But today is already 4th september night and I still haven't even gotten my tracking number from that seller! Around When will i get the tracking code? Am I too impatient or that seller might be cheating? I thought from malaysia to singapore via dhl express only need 2 days?

The tracking number is given immediately when submitting the item to DHL.
Ask the seller for it, then input the number at DHL's online tracking system to see where it currently is.

Hopefully it wasn't a Malaysian eBay seller. You might never see your items.

Let's be fair, it has not much to do whether this is Malaysia or some other country. I bough a number of things from Malaysian e-bay sellers and never encountered any problems. There are some basic, universal, common sense rules that should be followed like buying from the sellers with good, documented feedback record or possibility to cancel/recover the payment (if something gets wrong) and that's it. US, UK, China, Malaysia, HK ... same thing applies.

I would never buy anything from a general classifieds board like locanto, craigslist, gumtree etc. other than COD or with secured payment option like the mentioned paypal.

BTW, your seller sells many items at locanto.sg and it shows the items locations all over Singapore (specific addresses). This may be just for marketing reasons but I would rather be prepared to kiss your dreamed mobile phone good bye.

has nothing to do with Malaysia in my opinion.
Plus, how do you know maybe that selller is not simply just a bit slow, but still reliable? It often takes me longer than a day to send someone some information...

Please, it is just a tracking number. How hard is it to send a series of numbers and alphabets - copy and paste style?

Exactly. I've been chasing her and she did reply to my email but she just keeps aaking me to wait for the tracking number. I'm finding this strange now.
