European working for a Singapore governmental agency

Post by IPman » Tue, 03 Sep 2013 5:23 pm

Hi,
I am a civil servant working for an European IP national institution which has also private practice as IP lawyer experience and legal experience at the EU IP office (OHIM).
I am considering joining the Singapore IP Office but lack of knowledge about the daily life of working for a governmental Singapore agency and all details and issues around moving there.
Any experience, tip or advice on how this working experience would be is more than welcome.
Thanks
IPman

I know a few people who work for the civil service.

The hours seem long (10+ per day not uncommon) and the targets (KPI) are surprisingly high but the pay and compensation are pretty good by local standards.

Hi PNGMK

I am just curious if the people you know who are in civil service are expats or local.

Thanks.
