Yep. Everybody trying to get in before the door slams shut. But if you check the available dates on a daily morning basis, you might catch an earlier opening after somebody realized they don't really have a hope in hell and decided to go home or to Aus/US/UK/Canada instead. If you do, grab the opening and you are good to go. We recently had one with a Jan or Feb date found a cancellation in three or so weeks I believe.

Mind me asking a question:
1. Did you go to ICA for manual assessment before doing this online application? Or you just trying your luck in online application?

So does that means you are already eligible to apply for SC?trashmaker wrote:Hi lfo_24.
I didn't bother doing the manual assessment, I just applied straightaway. I figured it's only going to get tougher from here on, so I just applied. Judging by the volume of applicants, I don't fancy my chances anymore.
Or,
choosing a date is just a part of the process of application without them (ICA) telling you whether you are eligible to apply or not?

Well, the next available date for PR application appointment is Feb 2014. I am hoping lotta slots will open up after the new HDB rule earlier this week.trashmaker wrote:I applied for Citizenship recently (about a week back) using the online system, and the earliest interview appointment date I got is January 2014.
