Moving to Singapore

Hi,

I am a Sri Lankan and planning to move to Singapore by early October to a job offered by one of the Singapore company.

My place of working will be CENDEX CENTRE. I don't have any idea about Singapore and would be grateful for any help with the following,

- The best area which i can find cheap accommodation near to my place of work
- If cheap accommodation is not available this area what would be the best area and the cost of travelling to the work place

- Any advises on this area

As far as accommodations that are cheap, what price ranges do you consider cheap?

There aren't many cheap places to live in Sg. But to start, you might want to search for HDB flats because they can be less expensive than private condos.

For cheaper accommodation, HDB flats are the best choice. The flats at Henderson Rd or anywhere around Bukit Merah central seems cheap and good
