I would also bet that some Maseratis will hold their value better than some of the houses here in Singapore.
Sure you can pick some outliers, but in general, most properties will appreciate while most vehicles will depreciate.

Specific to the Singaporean market, there are three Maseratis on the market registered between 2008-2009 for prices ranging from $230k-$330k. 'RRP' on similar new ones is $519-549k. That's quite a hit, I'd be curious to see the property in Singapore that has lost half its value in five years.

I was waiting for a cab in the city when we were all deafened by this guy revving up his orange Lamborghini, while the passenger door malfunctioned opening and closing for about 5 minutes.

That seems to sum up many people's attitude towards maids here - they consider them as a domestic appliance rather than a human being who can be asked to perform a task.
And then again, I know a guy who has a Bentley GTi, who doesn't allow his maid to wash it .. he prefers the machine wash or a monthly Service / clean at Malayan .. yah, he doesn't bother much about keeping it shiny and new .. even for his previous Cayanne

Simply, because, he himself says, if you can own a million $ car, you should not let people who aren't trained to wash it end up scratching it .. with improper wash.

was surfing youtube last night and came across this video w a group of people wearing strange pill hats and talking about cancer. Apparently it's a flash mob skit about how talking is good medicine for cancer. What do you guys think?

You reckon it only happens in Singapore like the title of this thread?

If it's actually funny (I didn't watch it), I reckon it happens anywhere but Singapore.

Sounds like an advertising exec trying to make his little project viral.

Typically selling for less than $200k.

Pretty sure it is a 997, and maybe ~5 yrs old. I'll go snap the VIN next time so we can look it up.

Even then, the cheapest ones I can find are ~3000-350k on SG Car Mart. It's worth noting that most of the buildings that share this car park are 3 room HDBs built in the 70s, that sell for not a hell of a lot more than that (~400k).

And even then, it's pretty crazy.
That headlight and taillight is unique to the 996 :) Although it does look like or make to look like a 996 GT2.

Ok, once back I'll snap the VIN. You're probably right, but i am curious myself. He definitely did a lot of cosmetic work on it, including changing the wing.

whats wrong with clearning your own car? If you love your car, you want to take care of it. Cleaning is just a part of that.

My personal take on this is: if you love a car and spend tens of thousands of dollars on it, shouldn't you put in personal touches on the car to make it more 'personalized' (including the washing aspect).

Cars have feelings too you know :(

Walk out in any HDB carpark at 6:45~7:00 in the morning to see what we are talking about. Maid washing cars. In fact, there was a clip on one of the maid agencies showing them being taught how to wash a car here. Can't remember where I saw it but it was in the past two weeks. (maybe it was a training school for new maids instead of an agency).
