She just needs a flight out of Russia.
If you want to really help her out - ask her to show you her visa and buy her a return flight to Philippines at the end of visa expiry (one day before or earlier as she indicates?).
Since Russia is not on the visa waiver list for Philippines should would need a visa.
Helping her return to her home country while more expensive will safe guard her interests and ensure she is not stranded in the country and can leave in worst case.

Maid moving to Russia...
Re: Maid moving to Russia...
Hi nutnut, I know this post is a little dated but I hope you can share your experience.
My domestic helper, whom we love dearly, has recently informed us about her “cousin” offering her a job in Russia that pays the equivalent of about Sgd1300. This sounds like a great career move.
However, I’ve been Googling this and found that there have been reported scams involving the “smuggling” of Filipinos into Russia on tourist visas. Essentially there is no visa or permit to work as a domestic helper in Russia.
Wondering how your helper turned out and if everything went well.

Re: Maid moving to Russia...
I have a slightly similar experience but the country was the UAE. I told my helper I would not pay for her flight until I spoke to the new employer and verified the deal was kosher. It was and our former helper has been in a hotel in the UAE on double the money for a few years now. You can manage this. Alternatively refuse to fly her to Russia and just send her back to the PI if you're truly concerned.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Re: Maid moving to Russia...
You mean S$1300 for a maid job in Russia? I don't know Russia specifically but know a bit about the post-communist states and unless she can turn water into wine or better say vodka, or have some other highly demanded skill set it would be really hard to believe anybody would pay her that money. The country average is more like S$1k, much higher in some big cities for sure but there must be literally millions of people capable of doing such job and earning within a S$300-S$700 range, so again, why her?Leexz wrote: ↑Fri, 01 Nov 2019 9:59 amHi nutnut, I know this post is a little dated but I hope you can share your experience.
