well, let me give it a guess:
bitter? of the human kind...loads around, just get a car for the day, and get stuck in peak hour traffic
bitter? the vege kind...at most markets
bitter? the syrup to mix with alcohol or 'lemon/lime/bitters' - if i am not wrong i did see it at cold storage..try the one at 5th avenue

I think he means Bitter as in -ale or lager for grown-ups. An English thing really; if you imagine a flat lager, room temp with lots of flavour and usually really strong.
Haven't seen any myself only Stout (Guiness etc.) but I haven't really looked.
