Where to go for snowboard trips?

Post by bradtok » Wed, 14 Aug 2013 10:35 pm

Hi All, I just relocated to Singapore and it's my first time in Asia. Am an avid snowboarder, anyone have any recommendations where's good around the region?

I heard that Korea and Japan are pretty good.

New Zealand (South Island) is very good but further afield - 10 hours from here.

Too full of Australians. :D

Don't know anything about Oz. NZ does get a lot of ski tourists from across the Tasman but that might be more to do with exchange rates rather than facilities.

Absolute closest will be Nepal or Northern India. Korea or Japan may take less time to get to though thanks to easier travel and transit options. NZ South Island is only a few hours futher. I guess it depends on what you're looking for, but those are your destinations from here.

Awesome. Thanks for the tips.
