Freestanding mirror??

Post by sturoy » Tue, 13 Aug 2013 5:21 pm

Hi, I am trying to find a freestanding full length mirror to buy. I don't really fancy anything from Ikea - does anyone know if they sell this sort of thing up at The Furniture Mall? I've not been up there before (and its quite a way out!!) - and I have found that most furniture shops tend not to sell the sort of thing I'm looking for (ie fairly plain, wooden framed, full mirror with a stand!).

I've kept an eye on Expat Auctions and also Craig's List, but haven't seen what I'm looking for yet!

Any other suggestions also gratefully received!

I saw some at park mall - may not be cheap though.

Also saw one at scanteak which should be more affordable. There's a number of outlets around the island.

get a mirror the size you want, go to a framing shop and get it framed in a style you like, then just get simple stand made,

There's a few shops at Dempsey hill that sell interesting bits like that.

Yep, I second Dempsey as the place to buy. Just remember to offer half price. If you are on the east there are two shops on East Coast Road (near 5 star chicken rice) that sell them in raw teak or stained teak.
