As a public service... and that's the least disturbing image I saw on Google Image Search.
The term trypophobia (sometimes called repetitive pattern phobia[1]) was coined in 2005, a combination of the Greek trypo (punching, drilling or boring holes) and phobia.[2][3] Although not recognized in the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.,[2][4] thousands of people claim to be fearful of objects with small holes, such as beehives, ant holes, and lotus seed heads.[4] Research is limited and Arnold Wilkins and Geoff Cole, who claim to be the first to scientifically investigate, believe the reaction to be based on a biological revulsion, rather than a learned cultural fear.[4]

I don't know... I get excited seeing cross section of termite mounds, bee hives, hornet nests, sponges and ant galleries. And I love lotus root soup. And I have multiple piercings on ears.

Tryphophilia, perhaps? :P

Well I didn't listen  but can't say I understand it. Supposed to be a fear of clusters of small holes but all the images are of people with just that. I guess I missed something here but if you are scared of something surely you avoid it?

Oh and it seems that most of the images are of girls? Is this a female dominated thing?

It's a relatively recently discovered (but obvious) phobia that scientists believe produces a reaction in a large % of the population. The reason is obvious - this type of image related to poxes, infections, diseases etc.

I don't have a fear of holes, but I have a fear of people with diseases that produces clusters of holes in their skin. Hows that?

Not personally - yek!

I went down Desker Road and the surrounding alleys one night with some p'd up mates in the mid-90's, armed with a video camera. I lived close by on Mt Sophia and had heard what went on up that way, but still was shocked to see the sordid deprivation at first hand. I wonder if it's still the same.

Perhaps sometime I should try and host some of those old vid-clips...
