I had once, one lizard landing on my back when I was showering, head cover with shampoo.
I just felt something cold and when I reach my back, it move.
I jump and scream but can't run as my head was cover with shampoo; I can't open my eye at all.
This is horrible experience.

Have not seen any roaches.
But we do have those anti-roach thingy on the floor in the kitchen, laundry/backdoor area. We do our best and sweep those crumbs off the floor....
Have seen only one gecko so far....

Oh, we never had any mozzies or rats out there. The geckos and cobras took care of them. The only time I caught the cobras is if they were in the concrete drains around the perimeter of the house, but then would only catch them a release them in the field next door. (kids were still young then).
cobras? What ****ing cobras?
My wife must not see this or we're not moving. Seriously?

See, x9200 and SMS? Mental health damage
Don't worry. The place where SMS lived was bountiful with wildlife (for lack of better word, he lived around a secondary forest). You will never find a cobra in
condos and HDBs. Except if you live in landed properties near 'nature'.
So Bukit Timah, Upper Bukit Timah, Upper Thomson and even Sentosa should be out of your list when you're looking into landed properties in your search.

As I'm an old farmboy I just had to have my share of critters around. Makes me feel at home.

Er... it ain't necessarily so, as the old song goes.
This happened a few years ago at the Aspen Heights
condo on River Valley Road:

And last Monday evening workers found a 2.5m long python in Syed Alwi Road - right in the heart of Little India!

Same here. I wish I could scream when I see bugs, lizard, snake, etc.. but I can't bring myself to do it, since I practically grew up in jungle.. and my playground was the jungle - my "play cooking" activities always involved any bugs, worm and things I can find.
Strangely my parents not even care when I went missing the whole day.

There are always pythons around when there is a canal nearby .... and everywhere in Singapore is near a canal!
Cobras are really only a worry for young children as they are spitting cobras and can cause temporary blindness if the venom gets in their eyes.
We had one in the children's room once but we lived in the jungle at Changi so like SMS we had pythons (came out especially around the time when the cannon ball tree flowered), cobras (they have big 'litters' of little ones), monitor lizards (loved mangoes), monkeys and hornbills.
We also had fire ants and ants with the biggest pincers you have ever seen. They would grab on and not let go.....
We loved them all in their own way.

If it was the weekends or school was out, I was the same. I was usually in the woods (forest but not jungle as in SE Asian style) from right after breakfast until just before the sun set. Of course, if any game season was in I had my 16 gauge with me as well.

I love the geckos. They won't hurt you.

I love geckos too; we usually have one or two that visit frequently.
However, stuckmojo, perhaps the
condo where we used to live at the end of Sunset Way (backing onto Maju Camp) is not for you - here's a visitor from a few years ago...

+1. If successfully banish them your ant and roach problem will escalate for sure. All that poop they drop is from insects they've eaten.

No shitsu, it indiscriminately occupied 2 parking lots. That's why they took him away.
