Anything that over 2 wheels would classified as car for them I would think.

I rang them (LTA) before enquiry about the Renault Twizy. Obviously they either wouldn't or dont have time to entertain me for an answer.

Otherwise I would of import a Twizy meself from the UK. Cheap though, cost just £8k (S$16k). A little bit more protection than a bike and dont mess up your hair. And you will be the centre of attention of whole Singapore.

No of wheels is not a factor - see Piaggio MP3 or similar for example, many of them around. The size/weight could be.

Correct. You still need a Motorcycle license for the MP3. Singapore still considers is as a motorcycle. Trikes are considered motorcycles as well but the only trikes allowed, I believe, are those specifically designed for the handicapped rider.
