Hi people,
Greetings from the middle east. I have a query to which I am hoping some friends would help with.
My son is likely to be accepted at a Singapore University for engineering. Which is the easiest option by which my wife, who is not working, can accompany or stay with him for the duration of his studies. I can, of course visit from time to time under visit visa which is ok for us.
Request kind friends to give me as much info on this as possible. If this subject has already been discussed elsewhere in the forum, could somebody point me in the right direction?
thanks in regards,

Isn't he a bit too old to be living with his mom?
The "study mama" visa is only up to junior college.

Jeez, I thought one of the main purposes of university was to move away from your parents and learn to live independently (well it was in my day). Maybe it's time he grew up? Both my daughters are in the UK at 'uni' (as it's apparently now called) and managing just fine on their own.
Just sayin'... And maybe the ICA might take a similar view.

The father cannot accompany them.
Seriously though, let your kid live on his own.... he will grow up tougher and smarter.
I know Middle Eastern / Indian parents are very attached to their children and want to guard them from everything they think is bad but they will be just fine without you - If anything they will grow the hell up
