Hi y'all, I am by no means even an amateur chef...I just have my pot, frying pan, chef's knife, spatula, bowl, egg beater, and try to cook whatever's easy with as few ingredients that looks easy enough to cut, mince to fry, grill or boil...not enough recipes in my head to use.
I was wondering whether anybody has tried the courses from the Community Clubs? (one.pa.gov.sg) There's rarely any indication in their site, particularly their titles (although I had found a few) whether the course they're offering are demos or hands on.
I have found a few sites that offer courses, with the help from googling in City Nomads, but prices are a bit too high for me on one session if I wanna do it every single week (for example, one offers $120 for a session for only 2 recipes)
CC's pretty decent ($20-$70), but if it's only a demo cooking, then I wouldn't bother, cause I best learn by doing.
I've seen Meetup groups, but it looks like they're already Enthusiasts, no place for me I feel...gonna slow everybody else down during their classes.
Thanks for your help!

Check Totts, I know they do cooking lessons but no info on the durations/costs/frequencies, etc...

Errr...they do SMS. Actually TOTTs is my first choice for this, and second choice is a course at Biopolis....can't recall what it's called.
They're both in 120-150 range however totts seem to be the better value (The site's pretty user friendly too :p )
But I'm still trying to find reviews of the CCs first...
