Anyone the PR get approved recently for their Children? How long it been taken?
We both are SPR and bought a HDB flat recently. We wan to bring our children for study in singpore.
Their PR submitted 3 months ago but still pending as at now.
Im wondering should I apply Student pass for them or wait for the PR result?
As P1 registration in end of Jul'13.

I am afraid I don't quite understand why your children were not included with you and your spouse in the initial application or shortly after their births if born here. If they were left with other family members in your home country while the two of you were here, then I don't see them in any more rush than you were to get their PR either. Might take a while or may be rejected (it has happened when "boys" were conveniently let off of PR applications in order to avoid PR. Not saying this is the case here but it's hard to read ICA officers especially when whole families don't apply together. You much admit, it looks rather strange.

3 months is nothing to wait. My son, in much clearer situation got his PR approved after 4 months. Admittedly it was at the climax of PR criteria tightening 2y back but I don't think it is that much easier now, and your situation is more muddy.

There is no guarantee of PR approval of dependent children of 2 PRs. But you can apply LTVSP for them although they need to be here when you apply. What I am not sure is if you need to convert your children's LTVSP to student pass when it is time to go to school. My daughter's (born here) PR application has been rejected recently (2nd attempt) but she is on LTVP pass (yearly renewal). She will go to nursery next year. The school (PCF) says that she can go to nursery on her LTVP.

Thanks for reply ~
We have our PR since 6 yrs ago. I rush because need to register of P1 for my daughter.
She may apply P1 without a valid pass if the PR still pending for appoval , this is what i worried.
I intend to apply LTVSP but can it be concurrently?
If i apply P1 in end of Aug ( last phase for non PR or citizen to register ) , will the school apply student pass for her?
Initial i though Children PR will be process faster...

Hello, you can apply a ltvp for her to stay and study while waiting for the approval of the pr. You don't have to apply student pass for your child if she has a ltvp.

I'm a bit lost here. I read through again ICA and MOE website, I can't find the information that LTVP can be use for Primary school registration. It only state, DP holder, IEO holder.
You may take a look at MOE website and look at the registration process for International students with Dependant’s Pass (DP) or Immigration Exemption Order (IEO) or with either parent who is a Singapore Citizen (SC) or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR). In the flow chart eventually the child need to apply for Student Pass. CMIIW.
